Painting China for Pleasure & Profit

By Ruth Little

Vintage hardcover book with dust jacket.

The book itself is a baby blue.

This is the only book of its kind in existence! It covers the history of the kerosene lamp, together with the various types of lamps used during this time. For those of you who wish to restore old lamps to their original condition and use, information is given concerning the various parts needed for each lamp mentioned.

If you wish to redecorate a lamp for modern day use or to paint a reproduction, you will find many and varied ways in which to do so. The instructions on the decoration of glass, as well as the colors to be used and the firing thereof, are plainly and simply written.

The book contains pictures of 40 beautiful lamps in color, both antique originals and decorated by the author, as well as numer-erous black and white illustrations, and one 10.5 × 17 inch design in color (design No. 100).
