THE TITLE STORY IS A delightful tale of the adventures of a little boy, Timothy, befriended by a band of Firlings, the little folk of the forest, one hard, cold winter. The two other stories tell of the antics and escapades of those wee forest creatures that are the stuff of fairy tales and so delight young children.
